[Days 15-18] – Hattie B’s and BBQ

This week was… interesting.

In the mornings, I’ve been drinking a Berry Detox tea, sometimes mixing it with the Ginger Yerba Mate tea.  No smoothies this week – just water, maybe some coffee and intermittent (inadvertent) fasting.

I’ll be intentionally intermittently fasting next week.

But this week?  Man, I ate fried chicken, BBQ ribs (my uncle owns a farm, raises his hogs, and BBQs them… *eek*), veggie burgers, sweet potato fries, chips, cinnamon rolls, cappuccinos, sushi, wine, and peanut butter crackers.

Tonight (May 18), I’m making Baked chicken, zucchini, and wild rice.

This week, mentally, since I haven’t been disciplined with my food, my writing and other works haven’t been so together.  Since tomorrow is a full day of work, I’ll take Smoothies for lunch to start the reset process — again — and be back on track for Sunday.

Yesterday was the last day of my period and I feel like I can come out from under a rock now.  It’s been almost 20 years with this thing and I still haven’t got it figured out.

Decision fatigue is real.  That’s why I plan, schedule, and minimize as much as I can.

To curb that, I’ll be working on next week’s menu this weekend and prepping on Sunday. I haven’t been off from my part-time job on a Sunday in quite a while, so I will be taking full advantage of it.  Definitely a #PJsAllDay kinda day, but also very productive.  I predict next week will be a great week.

I might also be changing the frequency of these posts to weekly, because I prefer writing more long-form content.

I will still be writing daily, but with less me and more other valuable information.  There are so many draft blogs and ideas that I haven’t finished; so, I want to clear the queue and start providing more information that you can use.

As this detox/cleanse progresses, I’m evolving my diet to create a more alkaline-rich environment in my body by incorporating more foods that are on the Dr. Sebi Nutritional Guide, which you can download here.

You can also follow me on social media where I might be doing stuff that may or may not be interesting. But I’m documenting so that in August (my birthday month, hey now), I can look back and see what kind of growth took place.
