[Day 14] – Saying “I don’t…” versus “No…”

May 14th – Day 14

Today’s Recipe:

  • 2 handfuls Kale
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 cup frozen Mangoes

This one smells like straight grass. And you know what else? Ever since I’ve started these smoothies, my flatulence has been…consistent lol. Not to get into a full discussion about farting (even though my Kid would love it), but … *whew.*

Fluid Timeline:

  • 8a – 2 cups room temp Spring Water
  • 830a – Red Eye from Starbucks
  • 10a – Smoothie 1
  • 12p – Bud Light 🙈
  • 4p – 2 cups water
  • 6p – Smoothie 2
  • 9p – Glass of Red Wine

Reflections:

So my best friend is in town and she wanted to have lunch at Hattie B’s.

When in Rome…. 🤷🏾‍♀️

A bit greasy for my taste, but the flavor, the sides, and the company were all good.
After 14 days/2 weeks/a fortnight; a cleanse, then detox and diet change; 2 cheat days; and a few good shits, how do I feel?

Less irritable. More focused. Less hungry. More fulfilled. More forgiving. More compassionate. At the same time, I also give less of a f*ck.

Side note: These firefighters shows put my nerves on edge! I’m catching up on Station 19 as I write this, and I’m at the one where the lady just threw her baby off the side of the building. Then “9-1-1” — good Lord, I’m pretty sure I had a heart attack twice during every episode.

Ok focus:

Yes, having changed my diet even a minimal amount has positively affected my mood, my focus, and curbed the symptoms of my sugar/carb addiction.

I’m excited to see 30, 60, and 90 days.
