[Day 7] – There’s a Rumbly in My Tumbly…

May 7th – Day 7

Today’s Recipe:

  • [same as yesterday, since I didn’t finish them all]
  • Plus, the Kid made her own version of a smoothie that she ended up not drinking because she didn’t like it.  Her goal was just to make it purple.  She added
    • handful of raspberries
    • 2 handfuls of blueberries
    • handful of strawberries
    • handful of kale
    • a cup of water

Smoothie Timeline:

  • Smoothie 1 – 9a

Reflections:

So today I didn’t make any new smoothie – I just kinda combined what was left in the fridge and resigned myself to restarting the process on Day 8.  That means for dinner, I ate solid food (and not the best choices – health-wise).

I can now taste the emptiness in some foods.

Poop status: still no poop.  I remembered haven’t been running in a while, which usually helps; so I’ll go for a run in the morning.

Mood: I’ve been highly irritable today.  It’s probably PMS.  That could also explain the bloating and lack of poop.

Lessons Learned:

We fall down, but we get up — Donnie McClurkin-style.  Some time ago, if I had eaten food during a time where I was supposed to be drinking just smoothies, I would have thrown the whole fast away.

But I think this is worth picking up where I left off and continuing.  I don’t plan on drinking smoothies for the entire 90-days.

The goal is to evolve my diet, reintroduce the good things, eliminate and replace the bad things, and have a system (cuz I love systems) in place for when things may go off track.
