May 2nd – Day 2
- 3 handfuls mixed greens
- 2 cups Spring Water
- 1 Burro or baby banana, peeled
- 2 Apples, cored and chopped
- 1.5 cups Strawberries
- Agave syrup, to taste
- Smoothie 1 – 12pm
- Smoothie 2 – 330pm, when I had to take my lunch. Around this time, I was feeling it. There were cookies in the break room. Somebody bought some pizza from the market next door. That’s when I started feeling like the first Venus flytrap that wanted to eat. Calebcity is hilarious, like, I’ve been laughing at this video for a month.
- Smoothie 3 – 1030pm, after work. Then a banana.
- Water Intake – probably 2 bottles (yikes!)
Woke up at 6:09am, listened to the Kid get ready for school and laughed because she was talking to herself. Kind of a proud moment lol. [we’re all crazy here]
Made a cup of tea at 9, but instead of putting it in a mug, I put it in my thermos/tumbler things I got for Christmas (shoutout to my cousin and his wife for this, I love it!)
Note to self: don’t do that again. That hot water will stay hot for hourssss. I didn’t drink the first smoothie until 12pm.
I had to take all 3 with me to work, because I was still drinking tea when I pulled up.
Getting creative with drink storage might seem like the type of creativity I signed up for, but the way my clumsiness is set up…. Thankfully, nothing wasted.
I woke up feeling rested, which always happens when I drink water before bed, but it’s not the same feeling as when you drink a gallon of water the previous day. So I gotta work on that for tomorrow.
I’m gonna have to cut up some cucumbers or something to take with me to work, because all the running around with very little on my stomach is taking its toll. Usually I’m snacking on chips, sweets & sugary drinks to keep me going. So maybe cucumbers? I don’t like dates because they look like cockroaches to me. Maybe I could change to 4 smoothies a day instead of 3? Idk, we’ll figure it out tomorrow.
Reading about different fasts in different cultures, one thing I’m working on today is what to do when I have strong hunger pangs. Some people drink water, pray, or meditate.
As of now, I think about grilled chicken or chocolate cake. Then I drink water and try to find something to keep me busy. In my last busy time, I put together two Mastermind groups – one for Business and one for Self-Care, which is personal, but still informs my business.
Starting tomorrow – Day 3 – I’ll spend time with someone from one of my Mastermind groups during those hunger pangs. That could be listening to Gary Vee’s audiobook, reading about/trying new organizing techniques, or listening to someone’s speech, and using that inspiration to figure out my next right move.
